Bahrain Leads in Joint Security Operations, Says Interior Minister

Lieutenant General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Bahrain’s Minister of Interior, participated today in the sixth meeting of Interior Ministers from member states of the International Security Coalition, held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

During the session, Minister Al Khalifa delivered a keynote address, expressing gratitude to the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his personal attendance at the coalition’s first field exercise in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The exercise was lauded for its realism, meticulous planning, and execution, achieving its objectives in confronting complex security challenges with distinction and professionalism.

Minister Al Khalifa emphasized the coalition’s effectiveness in tackling organized and transnational crime, noting that joint specialized operations reflect a high level of security awareness and readiness among member states. He highlighted recent successes, particularly the prevention of large-scale drug smuggling attempts, attributing these achievements to strong coordination and effective integration among participating security agencies.

“The accomplishments of the coalition underscore the importance of continuing to strengthen coordination frameworks and collaboration to sustain and build upon these achievements,” Minister Al Khalifa stated.

The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of coalition members to ongoing collaboration, training, and operational excellence in addressing regional and international security challenges.
