Bahrain, Cyprus Join Hands for Peace and Tolerance

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al Aradi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, met with H.E. Theasalia Salina Shambos, Special Envoy of the Republic of Cyprus for Religious Freedom and Protection of Minorities in the Middle East, in the presence of Ms. Noura Abdullah Al Mansoori, Director of the Coexistence Affairs Directorate.

During the meeting, Mr. Al Aradi highlighted the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Cyprus, noting their continuous growth across multiple fields. He reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two nations, as well as strengthening international partnerships to promote a global culture of peace, mutual respect, and human coexistence.

Ambassador Shambos expressed her appreciation for Bahrain’s remarkable efforts in supporting religious freedom and for the pivotal role played by the King Hamad Global Centre in promoting dialogue among cultures and faiths. She extended her best wishes for the Kingdom’s continued progress and prosperity.

Following the meeting, Mr. Al Aradi and Ms. Al Mansoori participated in the regional gathering of Cypriot ambassadors accredited to the Middle East, North Africa, and GCC countries, chaired by H.E. Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus.

During the session, the Bahraini representatives delivered a presentation introducing the Centre’s vision, programs, and diverse initiatives designed to advance the principles of coexistence and peace on both regional and international levels.
