HM King Hamad Affirms Strong Ties Between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, expressed his pride in the longstanding historical relations and deep fraternal bonds between the Kingdom of Bahrain and its sister nation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These ties are founded on strong pillars of brotherhood, shared vision, mutual understanding, and coordinated cooperation.

The remarks came during a reception at Al-Safriya Palace today, where His Majesty welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who was visiting Bahrain to participate in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council. Prince Faisal conveyed greetings and appreciation from his brother, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, along with their best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.

King Hamad welcomed the Saudi Foreign Minister and asked him to convey his greetings to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, wishing the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques good health and wellness, and the people of Saudi Arabia continued growth and advancement.

His Majesty highlighted the importance of such fraternal visits, which strengthen joint cooperation, coordination, and consultation in light of regional challenges. He commended the commendable efforts of King Salman in developing and solidifying Bahraini-Saudi relations, and praised the leading role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting Gulf and Arab collaboration while deepening solidarity among brotherly nations.

The meeting also addressed a number of regional and international developments of mutual interest, with a focus on the ongoing developments in the Middle East.

In turn, Prince Faisal expressed his gratitude to King Hamad for his warm hospitality and generous reception, praising His Majesty’s continual efforts to strengthen historical ties and the strong bonds between the peoples of the two brotherly nations.
