Bahrain’s Civil Service Sector Achieves Milestones in Excellence and Innovation
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, highlighted the remarkable progress of Bahrain’s civil service sector under the comprehensive development journey led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Excellency emphasized that the sector has witnessed a qualitative transformation in building national talent and enhancing institutional efficiency, strengthening service quality, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
His Excellency noted the wealth of national leadership and expertise within Bahrain’s civil service, capable of achieving government objectives and translating them into actionable programs. This progress ensures the continuous enhancement of responsibilities entrusted to the sector and its staff while promoting performance efficiency, governance, and adaptation to modern best practices.
The remarks were made during a meeting at Al-Qudaibiya Palace, attended by senior government officials, including Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, President of the Electricity and Water Authority; Engineer Basim bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau; Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma’a, Minister of Education; and Sheikh Daeij bin Salman Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau. The meeting celebrated their receipt of the GCC Civil Service Medal during a ceremony honoring leading figures in civil service across Gulf Cooperation Council countries, held earlier this month in Kuwait on the sidelines of the 21st meeting of the Committee of Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Authorities in the GCC.
On the occasion, His Excellency congratulated the honored officials, praising their dedication and achievements within the government sector, reflecting the exemplary image of Bahraini talent across various fields. He highlighted that this recognition serves as a regional incentive for all employees to enhance their contributions, embrace initiative, and continuously elevate performance quality. He wished them further success in their professional journeys.
His Excellency also expressed gratitude to the President and staff of the Civil Service Bureau for their efforts in showcasing distinguished national talents in government service, developing legislations, policies, and systems, promoting training and qualification programs, and consistently measuring performance. These efforts contribute to achieving the government’s priorities outlined in its 2023–2026 program, empowering and developing government cadres, and reflecting Bahrain’s esteemed position in human and administrative development indicators.
The honored officials expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to His Excellency for this gesture, which they described as a motivating factor to continue their contributions and enhance performance efficiency, reflecting the government’s ongoing support for developing civil service talent to meet citizens’ expectations and improve service quality.
