The second-generation Lexus NX has received a mid-cycle update in global markets. Along with cosmetic changes, the SUV gets new features and updated powertrains.
At the front, it gets a new spindle grille and revised LED headlamps with DRLs. The rear features connected LED taillights with 'Lexus' lettering in the centre, while the bumpers have also been redesigned. New alloy wheel options range from 18 to 20 inches.
Inside, the NX gets an updated cabin with a layout similar to the ES sedan. The minimalist dashboard features a centrally mounted 14-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a new three-spoke steering wheel.
Features include heated rear seats, a head-up display, a 17-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a digital rear view mirror and ADAS.
The new Lexus NX is offered with plug-in hybrid and strong-hybrid powertrains. The NX 450h+ gets a 2.5-litre petrol plug-in hybrid that is slightly more powerful than before. It also gets a larger battery pack with DC fast-charging capability. The all-wheel-drive SUV offers an electric-only range of over 100 km.
The NX 350h uses a 2.5-litre petrol strong-hybrid powertrain producing 196 bhp. It is available with both front-wheel drive and AWD configurations.
