Bahrain Officials Visit Advanced Research Vessel “Al Masaha 2050” to Explore Development Capabilities
His Excellency Eng. Basim bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, and His Excellency Eng. Ibrahim bin Hassan Al-Hawaj, Minister of Works, conducted a field visit to the advanced research vessel “Al Masaha 2050” today, accompanied by a number of senior officials. The visit aimed to review the vessel’s capabilities in supporting Bahrain’s developmental sectors.
Eng. Al-Hamar highlighted that the visit is part of a comprehensive plan by the Bureau to strengthen partnerships and coordination with relevant authorities. He noted that the vessel’s advanced capabilities could be leveraged for national development projects, natural resource management, urban development initiatives, and strategic decision-making linked to sustainable development. He reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to continuing these efforts and fostering fruitful partnerships to achieve Bahrain’s development goals.
Meanwhile, Minister Al-Hawaj praised the “Al Masaha 2050” project as a strategic asset for the nation’s infrastructure. He emphasized that the vessel’s advanced systems would provide authorities with precise data on seabed characteristics and marine sand resources, thereby enhancing the planning and implementation of coastal and maritime infrastructure projects while adhering to the highest environmental standards and protecting natural resources.
During the visit, the Minister received detailed briefings on the vessel’s state-of-the-art equipment, marking a significant advancement in marine surveying and spatial data management. He also reviewed the vessel’s 3D survey systems, geophysical monitoring instruments, advanced seabed analysis laboratories, sediment monitoring technologies, and integrated artificial intelligence systems designed to ensure accurate and fast data processing.
