Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) carried out 3,152 inspection campaigns and visits across the Kingdom in August 2026, detaining 77 irregular workers and deporting 543 violators.
The sweeping operation covered 2,973 shop visits across all governorates, alongside 179 joint inspection campaigns — 93 in the Capital, 27 each in Muharraq and the Northern Governorate, and 32 in the Southern Governorate.
Violations flagged included breaches of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority Law and the Residency Law, with legal action taken in all recorded cases.
The campaigns were conducted in coordination with multiple government bodies, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Civil Defense, the Social Insurance Organization, and the National Health Regulatory Authority, among others.
The LMRA reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying inspections kingdom-wide to protect the stability and competitiveness of Bahrain's labour market.
