Bahrain’s Seef 3x3 basketball team have departed for Chinese Taipei ahead of the Kaohsiung Challenger 2026, where a place at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Deqing Masters will be up for grabs this weekend.

The kingdom’s representatives will compete in Pool A against Belgian side Antwerp and Utrecht of the Netherlands when the two-day event gets underway on Saturday.

Seef open their campaign against Antwerp at 10.35am before facing Utrecht at 2.55pm later in the day, with both tip-off times in Bahrain.

Bogdan Dragovic, Hamad Faisal, Mohammed Al Anzi and Nasser Al Anzoor make up the four-man squad for the trip.

The Bahraini side earned their place in Kaohsiung through a Wild Card Cross entry and are among 16 teams in the field.

Qualifying and pool-stage matches will be played on Saturday, before the competition moves into the knockout rounds and final on Sunday.

There is plenty at stake, with the top three finishers qualifying for the Deqing Masters in China on September 26 and 27.

The tournament marks the latest stop in a busy international campaign for Seef, who finished sixth at the Lion City Challenger in Singapore before placing 11th at the Caceres Challenger in Spain.

Their performances abroad have followed a successful domestic summer, highlighted by a 21-11 victory over ATBB to claim the Bahrain Summer Open 3x3 title at Exhibition World Bahrain.

More international action awaits next month, with the team having also secured a place at the Aichi Challenger in Japan on October 10 and 11.
