Russia Warns UK of ‘Consequences’ Over Drones Supplied to Ukraine

Moscow: Russia warned the United Kingdom that it will face consequences following claims that British-made drones given to Ukraine were used in long-range strikes on targets deep inside Russian territory. The threat escalates tensions between Moscow and London over Britain's military support for Kyiv.

The Russian Embassy in London accused Britain of purposely worsening the conflict, describing the country as a accomplice and co-perpetrator of Ukrainian strikes. Moscow claimed that the more military support Britain provided for Ukraine, the higher the price it would have to pay.

Reports cited by British media say Ukrainian forces have used drones made by two UK companies in deep-strike operations over the past six months. The strikes allegedly targeted Russian oil refineries, logistics facilities, and other strategically critical infrastructure. One of the systems named is the Nyan, a jet-powered strike drone manufactured by Callen-Lenz, a BAE Systems affiliate.

The claimed use of British-made drones coincides with Ukraine's greatly expanded long-range drone operation against Russian territory. Kyiv has aggressively targeted military-industrial facilities, energy infrastructure, and logistics networks in an attempt to undermine Russia's ability to sustain the war effort.

Meanwhile, the UK has rejected Moscow's warning, stating that it will continue to assist Ukraine. The British government has maintained its commitment to give Ukraine with the necessary equipment to defend itself against Russia's invasion.
