Chamber, IPA Plan Skills Push

Bahrain Chamber and the Institute of Public Administration explore joint training programmes to strengthen private-sector capabilities.

Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Nabeel Khalid Kanoo met with Institute of Public Administration (IPA) Director General Shaikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa to discuss cooperation in research, training and human-resource development.

The meeting focused on developing joint initiatives and programmes aimed at strengthening national capabilities and expanding the benefits available to Bahrain Chamber members and private-sector institutions.

Mr. Kanoo stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships between the private sector and educational and training institutions to better align education and training programmes with labour-market needs.

He said developing management and leadership skills is essential to preparing national talent to keep pace with rapid changes across the business environment and economic sectors.

“Human capital development is a key pillar in strengthening the competitiveness and sustainable growth of the private sector,” Kanoo said.

He added that the Chamber is keen to ensure that cooperation delivers direct benefits to its members, business owners and employees through quality training and development programmes based on their actual needs.

Mr. Kanoo also highlighted the importance of designing joint programmes around the business community's real training needs, saying this would help address institutional challenges and produce practical and measurable outcomes.

The cooperation between the Bahrain Chamber and IPA aims to develop private-sector professionals and leaders through specialised training initiatives focused on improving management and leadership capabilities, encouraging innovation and enhancing institutional performance.
