Executive, Legislative Authorities Review National Response to Iranian Attacks
Bahrain’s executive and legislative authorities held a joint meeting on Sunday to review ongoing national efforts to address the repercussions of the Iranian attacks and the measures taken by government institutions to contain their impact.
The meeting focused on national preparedness for emergencies, rapid response, continuity of essential services and the efforts made across various sectors.
The meeting was chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, while the government side was led by Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
A number of ministers, deputy speakers of both councils, committee chairpersons and senior officials also attended.
During the meeting, Al Musallam expressed appreciation for the national efforts to protect Bahrain and highlighted the role of the Bahrain Defence Force, National Guard, Ministry of Interior and security agencies in responding to the attacks.
He also praised the efforts of Bahrain’s diplomatic missions internationally, cooperation with regional and international partners, and the work of government institutions, ministries and private-sector organisations in responding to the situation.
The meeting also recognised the role of Bahraini society and its collective efforts during the ongoing circumstances.
