HM King’s Youth City visit hailed

Bahrain Paralympic Committee President Shaikh Mohammed bin Daeij Al Khalifa expressed his appreciation for His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visit to Youth City 2030, describing it as a message of support and empowerment for Bahraini youth.

He said the visit reflects the Royal attention given to young people and encourages initiatives that develop their skills, nurture their talents and create opportunities for active participation in national development.

Shaikh Mohammed said the visit carries particular significance for people of determination, highlighting Bahrain’s commitment to equal opportunities and their integration into youth and community activities as key partners in development and the future.

Bahrain-Türkiye ties praised

Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh said Bahrain-Türkiye relations continue to advance through bilateral partnerships, cooperation and coordination across various development sectors.

He made the remarks while receiving the Turkish Ambassador to Bahrain Dr Aisha Hilal Sayan Koytak, marking the end of her tenure in Bahrain. Al Saleh praised her diplomatic efforts to strengthen relations and wished her success in her future assignments.

He highlighted promising opportunities to further strengthen ties between the two countries, particularly in trade, tourism and healthcare.

Euro Game Jam 

The European University of Bahrain (EUB) held the closing ceremony of its Euro Game Jam 2026 initiative, bringing together students, parents, officials and representatives from government and private sectors, as well as gaming and esports enthusiasts.

Education Minister and Higher Education Council Board of Trustees Chairman Dr Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma said initiatives of this kind demonstrate successful integration between higher education institutions and emerging sectors. He noted that they provide young people with practical opportunities to develop their skills, apply their knowledge and turn creative ideas into opportunities in technology, innovation and digital industries.

Muharraq Police arrest 29-year-old

Muharraq Governorate Police arrested a 29-year-old man suspected of carrying out several thefts from commercial outlets, the Ministry of Interior announced on Monday.

The stolen items included cash, bank cards and mobile phones. Police said investigations, searches and evidence gathering following reports of the incidents led to the suspect’s identification and arrest, with several stolen items recovered.

Legal procedures have been taken and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Trademark registration service upgraded

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has upgraded its service for registering a trademark or service mark in a single class, as part of government efforts to improve service quality and streamline procedures.

The updated service reduces processing time, documents and approvals required, while simplifying application steps and introducing electronic forms and an improved user interface. It also allows applications for visible and non-visible marks, including sound and scent marks, in accordance with approved requirements.
