Iranian Attacks Damage Kuwait Power and Desalination Plants
Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that several power stations and water desalination plants came under attack for the fourth consecutive day, which the government attributed to ongoing Iranian aggression against the country.
The attacks sparked fires at a number of critical facilities, but emergency teams successfully brought the blazes under control and extinguished them. Authorities have completed initial damage assessments and have begun implementing repair and rehabilitation plans to restore affected infrastructure.
As part of precautionary operational measures to maintain the stability of Kuwait's electricity and water networks, several power generation units were temporarily taken out of service.
The ministry said efforts are continuing to ensure the reliable supply of essential services while repair work proceeds.
