GCC Chief Receives Calls from Lebanese PM and Foreign Minister

Lebanese leaders praise Gulf support for Lebanon’s security and stability
- GCC reiterates backing for Lebanon’s sovereignty and development

Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi received separate phone calls on Tuesday from Nawaf Salam and Youssef Raji to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon.

According to the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh, the Lebanese officials praised the Gulf bloc’s continued support for Lebanon’s security and stability, describing it as a reflection of the close ties and shared interests between both sides.

During the conversations, the GCC chief reaffirmed the council’s support for Lebanon in efforts aimed at strengthening the country’s security, stability and territorial sovereignty.

Mr Albudaiwi also stressed the importance of international cooperation to help Lebanon meet the aspirations of its people for security, stability and development.

The calls come amid ongoing regional efforts to support Lebanon as it navigates political and economic challenges.
