Washington, D.C: The Board of Peace has officially denied reports suggesting it plans to shut down its ceasefire coordination headquarters in southern Israel.

Despite circulating rumors of a potential withdrawal or scaling back of operations, officials clarified that the HQ remains fully operational and vital for maintaining regional stability.

The coordination center serves as a critical link for managing communications and resolving immediate friction points on the ground. A spokesperson emphasized that the board’s commitment to the ceasefire framework is ‘unwavering’ and that the headquarters continues to play a central role in preventing escalations.

Sources indicate that the rumors may have stemmed from recent administrative adjustments or security reassessments, but the board reaffirmed that there are no active plans to vacate the site.

The denial is aimed at calming local and international concerns regarding the durability of the current peace arrangements. Maintaining this presence in the south is widely seen as a cornerstone of the ongoing efforts to ensure the long-term viability of the ceasefire.
