Kia Corporation Seltos Wins SUV of the Year Award in India

Kia Seltos has been named ‘SUV of the Year’ at the 2026 Times Drive Auto Summit & Awards held in New Delhi, further strengthening the model’s position in India’s highly competitive compact SUV segment.

The award was presented by Times Drive, a leading automotive platform operated by Times Group. Winners were selected by a panel of automotive journalists and industry experts based on criteria including design, performance, technology, safety, and sustainability.

Kia said the recognition reflects the Seltos’s growing popularity among Indian customers and its importance within the company’s global SUV lineup. The automaker highlighted the model’s balance of bold styling, advanced technology, safety features, and everyday practicality.

Ho Sung Song, President and CEO of Kia Corporation, said the award demonstrates the company’s commitment to delivering customer-focused vehicles that combine design, technology, and practicality across global markets.

The latest-generation Seltos features updated exterior and interior styling, a dual-display setup, panoramic sunroof, and advanced safety technologies. Judges also praised the SUV’s premium cabin and strong customer response since its launch in India.

Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, said the Seltos was developed with Indian customers in mind, with improvements in cabin space, safety, design, and technology aimed at meeting the needs of modern families.

The all-new Seltos has also earned a five-star rating for both adult and child occupant protection under the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP).

Kia said the Seltos continues to play a key role in its global SUV strategy by offering enhanced usability, improved driving capability, and advanced connectivity features tailored to customers across international markets.
