KCA Announces 26th Edition of “The Indian Talent Scan 2026”

The Kerala Catholic Association (KCA) has officially announced the launch of the 26th edition of its annual mega cultural festival, "KCA-BFC The Indian Talent Scan 2026."

Designed to celebrate art, literature, and performing arts among young minds, the prestigious competition is open to all Indian children residing in Bahrain. The events are scheduled to run from the third week of October 2026 through the first week of December 2026.

Announcing the launch, KCA President Mr. James John unveiled a high-level organizing committee led by Mr. Leo Joseph as Chairman, alongside Chief Coordinator Mrs. Simi Leo, Vice Chairman Mr. Joshy Vithayathil, and Vice Chairpersons Mrs. Simi Asok and Mrs. Pretty Roy.

Expressing gratitude to the community, KCA General Secretary Mr. Vinu Christy acknowledged the enthusiastic response from parents over the years and reiterated KCA's commitment to delivering a professionally managed platform for children.

ITs Chairman Mr. Leo Joseph highlighted that online registrations opened on September 17, 2026, and will close on October 8, 2026. He noted that special emphasis is being placed on team activities this year to foster personality development, leadership, and collaboration among participants, with actual stage competitions commencing on October 20, 2026.

Children born between October 1, 2008, and September 30, 2021, are eligible to participate across five distinct age groups. The talent hunt features more than 180 individual contests and numerous team competitions across six major categories: Natya Ratna (Dance), Sangeet Ratna (Music), Kala Ratna (Arts & Crafts), Sahitya Ratna (Literary), Add-On Events, and Team Events. Participants can enter a maximum of 12 individual events and an unlimited number of group competitions.

A vast array of honours will be awarded at the grand finale, including the prestigious Kalathilakam and Kalaprathibha Ever-Rolling Trophies, Group Championship Trophies, KCA Special Awards, and Category Excellence Awards in Dance, Music, Arts, and Literature. Recognizing community contributors, awards will also feature Best Teacher, Best Music Teacher, and Performance Awards for participating schools.
