Bahrain affirms ‘strategic partnership’ with US

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasised the robust relations and strategic partnerships between Bahrain and the US.

During a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken, HRH Prince Salman highlighted the ongoing development and growth across various sectors, underscoring his commitment to advancing effective partnerships and joint coordination between the two countries.

The meeting, attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund, and officials including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, and H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, featured discussions on bilateral cooperation and the importance of further strengthening ties to achieve shared goals. Amidst discussions on regional and international developments, particular attention was given to the situation in the Gaza Strip.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed Bahrain’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and emphasised the nation’s commitment to promoting a just and peaceful solution.

Stressing the importance of protecting civilians and preventing escalation of violence, His Royal Highness called for the release of hostages and detainees, and emphasised the need for humanitarian aid to reach Gaza residents in accordance with international humanitarian law.

Highlighting the pivotal role of regional security and stability in fostering global development, HRH Prince Salman acknowledged the significant contributions of the US and other friendly nations in promoting international security, securing maritime navigation, and facilitating free trade.
