Support for water safety tourism industry

The Tourism Ministry is supporting the Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB) efforts to encourage water safety programs, which will contribute to promoting this important industry.
Minister Fatima bint Jaffer Al Sairafi yesterday met RLSB Chairperson Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa as they discussed the body’s objectives in providing beach and water safety to further promote national tourism in the Kingdom.
Al Sairafi affirmed Bahrain’s international reputation in beach tourism from hotels to private pools, and beaches.
The Minister also noted the Kingdom’s motive to launch more water sports programs and competitions such as diving and water skiing, as well as reviving the pearl industry.
