ISO honour for Transport Ministry
The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has achieved ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification for its Human Resources Directorate, Financial Resources Directorate and Information systems Directorate.
The certification was presented during the Ministry’s Annual Awards Ceremony, which was held under the Patronage of Kamal Ahmed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, to honour the employees for their exceptional performance and for their contribution in achieving the Ministry’s goals and serving the Kingdom of Bahrain. On this occasion, the Minister, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Directorates’ staff members whose efforts played a key role in achieving the Ministry’s goals.
Kamal Ahmed further stressed that the Ministry was keen to regularly renew the ISO Certificate by maintaining compliance and standards, which aim at improving operational efficiency to provide high service levels that meet customers and business requirements.
Kamal Ahmed received the ISO Certification from Lloyd’s representative Brian Baxter, Area Field Assessment Services Manager LRQA – India, MEA & South East Europe, after achieving the International standards and requirements of the certification.
It is worth noting that the auditing process, which was supervised by Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, Policies and Strategic Planning Directorate – (Quality Management Section), resulted in high scores, which reflects the employees’ commitment in maintaining quality standards to achieve strong results.
