Rain, strong wind likely today
The Meteorological Directorate forecast partly cloudy to cloudy with slight chance of light scattered rain in some areas today. “South- eastern wind 10-15 knots may reach 22 knot, gusting 35 knots in times,” they said in a statement here yesterday.
Maximum and minimum temperatures will range between 33 – 28 degrees centigrade respectively.
Sea waves may rise from 1-3 feet inshore and from 3-5 feet offshore and can reach 8 feet in gusty condition, the statement added.
The Meteorological Directorate also cautioned of strong, high-speed gusty wind.
