Speaker highlights Bahrain-European ties

Parliament Chairman Ahmed Al Mulla has received the Advisor of Her Majesty the Queen of Denmark for the Middle East, Chairman of Hulnan Group and President of the International Association of Universities, Anan Al Jalali yesterday. The speaker said that the development of relationships and boosting cooperation with European countries in all areas has the attention of the Council of Representatives.Al Mulla said it is essential for the fruitful cooperation ties to yield positive results which will positively reflect in showcasing Bahrain’s accomplishments of democratic reforms especially in the field of human rights and comprehensive development led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.The speaker said the Kingdom of Bahrain is a sovereign, independent which does not allow any external side to interfere in its internal and national affairs. Bahrain is the state of institutions, law, in which free opinion and expression are ensured, the doors of MPs are open to all without exclusion, to discuss any topics and issues which would contribute in supporting the country’s national unity and its social fabric cohesion.First Deputy Speaker Ali Al Aradi, Nasser Al Qaseer MP and the Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Financial and Economic Affairs Committee also attended the meeting.
