Zero deaths in Bahrain

Zero deaths were reported in Bahrain yesterday as the number of people recovered from the infection went up by 371.

With this, the number of people cured of COVID-19 symptoms in the Kingdom touched 38,211.

This was announced by the Ministry of Health on its Twitter handle.

There are currently 81 coronavirus patients in the Kingdom who are receiving treatment, out of which 43 patients are in critical care.

Some 2,832 active cases are there in the Kingdom, of which 2,789 cases are stable.

Ministry said it carried out 4,569 COVID-19 tests yesterday bringing the total tests conducted in the Kingdom to 835,567.

Bahrain also detected 208 new cases yesterday, out of which 75 cases are expa- triate workers, and 132 are contacts of active cases. One is travel-related case.

Total numbers of people succumbed fighting the virus touched 147.

There currently over 636,738 cases in the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council, with Saudi Ara- bia being the most affected. Death toll in GCC touched 4,433.
