Bahrain congratulates UAE on successful rocket launch

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the successful launch of the UAE Hope Probe rocket. The Emirates Mars Mission blasted off from Japan’s Tanegashima Island early yesterday morning, making history as the first Arab and Islamic space mission to explore Mars.

HM the King praised the historic scientific achievement. His Majesty King Hamad sent similar cables of congratulations to UAE Vice-President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, as well as to Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and UAE Armed Forces Deputy Supreme Commander Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

HM the King wished the UAE further success and progress in the field of space exploration and in all other fields. His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, also sent cables of congratulations to the UAE leadership.

HRH the Prime Minister praised the outstanding historic achievement that coincides with the country’s 50th anniversary of its establishment by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Meanwhile, His Majesty the King’s Charity Works and Youth Affairs representative, National Security Advisor and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa congratulated the UAE leadership on their great scientific achievement.

“We all have the right to be proud of the great progress made by the UAE in the fields of space science, and these great achievements are a source of pride for Arabs and Islamic nations,” HH Shaikh Nasser said. “It was built by young Emiratis and it records the names of the UAE and Arab and Islamic nations in the history of space exploration.”
