Bahraini hotels enjoy high occupancy rate

The occupancy rates in Bahrain’s hotels have exceeded 80 per cent during this Eid Al Adha holidays, according to the Arab Centre for Tourism Media.
A report issued by Arab Centre for Tourism Media cited high occupancy rates in hotels across the GCC. UAE reportedly fared the best with Dubai and Abu Dhabi reaching 90 per cent occupancy rates and Bahrain closely followed with occupancy rates
exceeding 80 per cent. Speaking to DT News, Four Star Hotel Committee Chairman, Al Safir Hotel Board Member and CEO Hameed Halwachi said that Bahraini hotels have managed high occupancy rates as well as good room rates this season.
“There were hotels that have done 80pc, while some others done 95 pc and certain parties even hit 100pc. Al Safir hotel has done 95pc in the first two days, the next two days are expected to be 80pc. Hotels have also maintained a good average room rate of BHD100.”
“Most of the visitors are from GCC countries who take advantage of the short holidays,” he added.
