University of Bahrain Launches Instant Digital Service

As part of ongoing government efforts to enhance service quality and re-engineer processes, the University of Bahrain introduced a new digital service allowing students to cancel academic transfer requests and remain in their current academic programs through the Student Information System (SIS).

The service enables students to cancel transfer requests after decisions have been issued, covering all academic transfer types: transfers between colleges, between programs within the same college, and from associate diploma or associate degree programs to bachelor’s degree programs.

Under the newly developed service, processing time has been reduced from two working days to an instant automated process through the Student Information System (SIS) after OTP verification. Required documents have also been reduced by 50%, while the service level agreement has improved by no less than 25%. The service has also achieved 100% digital transformation.

The development also includes improvements to the user interface, enhanced user experience, simplified procedures, and unified service information across all channels.

In this regard, Dr. Fouad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, said the service reflects the university’s commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions that improve operational efficiency. He noted that reducing transaction time from two working days to instant processing positively enhances the student experience and supports comprehensive digital transformation goals.
