Traffic plan for Formula 1
Manama : Motorists attending the Bahrain Grand Prix at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) are advised to arrive early at the venue and display sticker permitting the use of BIC parking lots appropriately on the windshield of their car.
“The drivers should follow traffic rules. especially the speed limit and avoid rushing out,” a statement released by the Traffic Directorate of the Ministry of interior said.
In the statement titled ‘Traffic plan for Formula 1’, the Directorate said drivers should turn left at the second traffic signal on the Bahrain bay road for parking lots numbers 1,2,3,4,5, 12 and 13. “After that, they can head to the entrance of the second set of parking 6,7,8,9,10, 15 and 16.”
The Directorate announced it has set up an office at parking lot number 10 to deal with minor traffic incidences.
Separate parking lots are available to those with special needs near the main gate.
“On the last day of the race after the conclusion of activities the traffic would be diverted to the opposite direction to ensure a smooth traffic flow,” it stated.
