Lofty sermons, fallacies lure youth: Experts

The bomb explosion that killed teenager Qassim Mohsen Al Aabdulla in a bid to plant the explosive targeting the mobile police van at Eker on Wednesday has raised the grave question: who instils such malicious canons in the minds of young people?
According to Dawa Director, Discover Islam, Shaikh Ahmad Khan, fiery religious speeches giving commitments for paradise are responsible for such acts. He said the speeches filled with passion were transforming the young minds.
“When brainwashing of the children is done in the name of paradise, such acts will definitely take place,” he observed.
Shaikh Ahmad said that the latest incident was a clear indication of the involvement some gangs, who were active in Bahrain, and they were firmly entwined with the enemies in the foreign lands. “Bahrain is a prosperous country and everything is fine here. There is no reason for the bomb blasts. So it can be nothing but the work of a gang.”
Speaking to DT News Shura Council Member Fatema A J Al Kooheji said that it was a wakeup call for Bahrain and other countries on the lesson that we should take care of our children.
In her view, a child couldn’t plant bombs on his own. “He was definitely brainwashed and directed to do so. He might be innocent. It is the society responsible for all this. “Parents, family, neighbours, schools, teachers, mosques and in short we all are responsible for it.”
Al Kooheji said that she was shocked to learn that the teenager had been projected as a martyr. “Martyrdom or Shahadat is not to kill or harm the innocent people. Human life is very precious and the God has clearly said- “Whoever killed a person, he killed everybody”-” she commented and added a concerted effort is needed to tackle the issue of terrorism.
