Chief of Public Security meets UN officials to strengthen cooperation
Tariq Al Hassan received senior United Nations officials in Bahrain to discuss cooperation and support for UN missions in the Kingdom.
The meeting included Khaled El Mekwad, Jorge Alturas, and Majed Mastour.
During the discussions, Al Hassan highlighted the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to supporting UN operations, emphasising that ensuring the safety of international personnel and facilitating their humanitarian work remains a key priority, in line with international standards and agreements.
The UN officials expressed appreciation for the ministry’s role in safeguarding UN staff and missions, commending the strong coordination and professionalism that contribute to a secure environment for development and humanitarian programmes.
The meeting was also attended by Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Mohammed Abdullah Al Haram, and Ali Mohammed Al Kubaisi.
