RHF Launches Virtual Family Awareness Series Under “Rest Assured” Initiative
As part of the “Rest Assured… Bahrain is Well as Long as You Are Its People” initiative launched by the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), and in conjunction with its 25th anniversary celebrations under the theme “25 Years… A Humanitarian Legacy,” the Foundation has organized a series of virtual family awareness workshops aimed at strengthening family cohesion and promoting social stability.
Held online via Microsoft Teams, the workshops targeted sponsored mothers as well as members of the wider community, including participants from within and outside Bahrain. The sessions focused on enhancing family awareness and reinforcing the role of the family in navigating challenges, and saw strong engagement from attendees.
Key topics included instilling values of national loyalty and belonging, as well as providing guidance on effective parenting during crises and difficult circumstances. The program was designed to support families in building resilience and maintaining stability during times of change.
The workshops featured a group of specialists who shared expertise and practical guidance. Dr. Khalifa Al Mahrezi, a family relations expert and consultant from the UAE, delivered a session on “Belonging and Loyalty to the Nation.” Ms. Fatima Al Ali, a psychotherapist from Kuwait, discussed “Positive Coping with Crises.” Dr. Abdulaziz Abul, an educational consultant from Kuwait, led a session on “Supporting Children During Crises.” Dr. Nabil Taha, Director of the Olympic Academy in Bahrain, presented “Our Safety Lies in Our Awareness.” Within RHF, Ms. Layla Hasan, a family counseling specialist, delivered “Safety and Reassurance within the Family,” while Ms. Lulwa Al Bannai presented “Leading Ourselves to Protect Our Families.”
Program coordinator Ms. Lulwa Mohamed Al Bannai, a family counseling specialist at RHF, said the initiative reflects the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to remain closely connected with sponsored families and the wider community, while offering high-quality programs that address evolving needs. She added that RHF continues to expand its support mechanisms to include awareness initiatives alongside core services, reinforcing its role in promoting family cohesion and community stability.
