Bahrain Club were officially relegated from the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League on Tuesday night following their 1–0 defeat to Al Shabab at Bahrain National Stadium.
The result leaves them bottom of the table on seven points, with three matchdays remaining, confirming their drop to the Bahrain First Division.
It marks a disappointing end to the campaign for the side, who struggled for consistency throughout the season. This is Bahrain Club’s first relegation since the 2016–17 season, ending their stay in the top flight after nearly a decade.
Head coach Mohamed Al Hayki now faces the task of rebuilding the team ahead of next season, as the club looks to regroup and push for promotion.
