The United States Ambassador to Bahrain, Stephanie Hallett, congratulated the kingdom on its “historic” presidency of the United Nations Security Council during April.
Ambassador praised Bahrain’s leadership, highlighting the roles of Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and UN Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaie for their “vision and focus on solutions.”
She noted that Bahrain’s presidency helped secure a record number of co-sponsors on key initiatives, condemned Iran’s actions against Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states and Jordan, and underscored the importance of maritime security.
