Trump says UAE’s OPEC exit may ease oil price pressure

Washington DC: In a significant shift for global energy markets, Donald Trump has suggested that a potential exit by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from OPEC could drastically reduce international oil price pressures.

Speaking on the sidelines of peace negotiations, Trump noted that the move would allow the UAE to increase its production capacity independently, effectively challenging the group's current supply quotas.

The UAE, which has significantly expanded its output capabilities, has reportedly found current OPEC+ restrictions increasingly limiting to its national economic goals. Trump claimed that the U.S. naval blockade on Iran has already tightened the market, but more ‘competitive’ production from Gulf allies could stabilize costs for consumers.

While the UAE has not officially confirmed a departure, the prospect alone has sparked volatility in energy trading as the world watches for a formal shift in Abu Dhabi's long-term energy strategy.
