Rain ravage continues in Kingdom
Manama : Emergency workers and people in the Kingdom were working hard yesterday to drain out gallons of rainwater in different parts of the country.
More than 67 rain-related cases were reported in the past three days to the General Directorate of Civil Defence in Interior Ministry, it was stated.
“The cases, reported between Thursday and Saturday, included removing cars stuck in the middle of the water, fallen trees and lampposts, and extinguishing fires,” a statement issued yesterday read.
The directorate explained that its personnel were well-equipped to carry their tasks and were working round the clock to contain the damages.
“The department calls upon the public to follow general safety measures during unstable weather conditions,” the statement added.
