Mosque protection discussed in meeting

Following the directives issued by Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Southern Governor, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa held a meeting to discuss the protection of places of worships yesterday.
The meeting was attended by General Director of Southern Governorate Police Brigadier Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and Deputy Governor Faisal bin Rashid Al Nuaimi.
The governor welcomed the security volunteers and hailed their dedication to protect worshippers and places of worship.
The General Director of Southern Governorate Police asserted the readiness of all security authorities to protect places of worships in Bahrain and urged volunteers to work hard in performing their national role.
The Governor highlighted the main duties of the volunteers and said that they were going to work under the supervision of the Southern Governorate Police Directorate. He urged the director to hold training courses for volunteers to enable them to enhance their protection skills.
The governorate has received in the last two days the volunteers, while more will be registered in the coming days. The final list of volunteers will be registered at the Southern Governorate Directorate as security volunteers to protect places of worship in the district.
