Spartans CC thump Friends XI

Manama : Spartans CC defeated Friends XI by 103 runs in the latest matches of the BFC sponsored BCL Golden League T20 at the Busaiteen Grounds in Muharraq.

Batting first, Spartans scored 223 for two in 20 overs with the main scorers being Zeeshan (98) and Farhan (63), while Friends were restricted to 100 for nine with the main resistance coming from Prabu (30) and Noman (two for two), Nidal (two for 11) Adnan (two for 17) and Jahangir (two for 18) sharing the wickets.

MAC Superstar edged out Almari by four wickets as the latter were dismissed for 119 with Shajad (21) top scoring, with Prashantha (five for 20) the pick of the bowlers.

In reply, MAC reached the target scoring 122 for six in 18 overs with Nadeem (20) the main scorer as Peter (three for 26) returned the best bowling figures.
