Man steals taxi and drives it into Juffair sea
Manama : A gulf national was rescued by the police today in the Capital Governorate, after he drove a vehicle into the sea of Juffair in the morning.
Interior Ministry stated, “Police patrols rescued a Gulf national who lost control of his car that drifted towards the sea in Juffair area,” adding that “legal steps were taken”.
However, sources confirmed that “the man was under the influence of alcohol, hijacked a taxi and drove it into the sea in Juffair”. Furthermore, pictures that were claimed to be of the incident were circulated on local social networks. Anyhow, no further information was available on the man or the cabbie. It’s noteworthy that similar incidents took place in Juffair during the past few years.
