Bahrain shocked by Samantha Power’s remarks
Bahrain has expressed astonishment over the recent remarks made by Ambassador Samantha Power, US Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the remarks are incompatible with Kingdom’s responsible ties with the US.
It added that US-Bahraini relations are built within the framework of mutual respect that require countries to respect the sovereignty of states and the authority of the judiciary.
The statement noted that the Kingdom safeguards all rights for the sake of national unity.
