ISB principal gets prestigious award

V.R. Palaniswamy, Principal of the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) was recently honoured with the prestigious “Ambassador for Indian Education in Gulf” award instituted by the Apeejay Stya Group, a leading Indian educational, industrial and investment house founded by the families of Dr. Satya Paul and Swraj Paul.
The award was presented by the top officials of Apeejay Stya University, Rahul Banerjee and Ankur Vohra in the presence of Shayma Mohammed Al Waswasy, Head of Evaluation and Development, Ministry of Education and the Members of the Executive Committee at a function on May 21.
Chairman and members of the executive committee congratulated the principal on winning the award and his achievements.
This award is instituted by the Apeejay Group to recognise the eminent personalities, who have made valuable contributions in the field of education, particularly promoting Indian education abroad.
V.R. Palaniswamy has more than 30 years of experience in teaching Mathematics and training mathematics teachers. He is also the recipient of the National Award to Teachers for the year 2011 from the President of India and the CBSE- National Teacher Award for the year 2007, which is instituted by the Union Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
