TRA revokes telecom licences to Digi Connect

ManamaTelecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has revoked the telecommunication licences granted to Digi Connect Co.  W.L.L effective March 31. 

Individual Licence for International Tel-ecommunications Facilities and Class Licence for Value Added Services were revoked, according to a TRA press release issued here yesterday. 

“Further to the TRA’s notice published on February 4, 2016 on the Official Gazette and on TRA website, asking for comments on the proposed revocation of telecommunications licences awarded to Digi Connect Co. W.L.L, TRA now advises that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice,” the statement said. 

“Accordingly, pursuant to Articles 31, 34 and 35 of the Telecommunications Law, the following licenses granted to Digi Connect Co.  W.L.L are revoked effective March 31, 2016,” it added. 

TRA also clarified that Digi Connect Co. W.L.L is not licensed to provide any telecommunication services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
