BIS Observes International Day of Peace

Students explore peace, kindness and unity through creative presentations and activities.

Bhavans Bahrain Indian School observed the International Day of Peace with a school-wide programme focused on peace, compassion, empathy, unity and harmony.

Students of Grade 8 Brahmagupta presented a special assembly featuring speeches, news headlines, a dance performance, mime, a Peace Quiz and a behind-the-scenes video. The presentations explored the importance of understanding, respect and peaceful coexistence.

The programme also highlighted individuals and ambassadors who have contributed to promoting peace around the world. Students were encouraged to view peace as an everyday responsibility reflected in their words, actions and relationships, and to promote kindness and harmony within the school and wider community.

Kindergarten students also took part in activities centred on peace and unity. Dressed in white, the young learners explored the values of kindness, togetherness and harmony through interactive activities, including dove puzzles symbolising unity and Sense Organ Wheels of Peace.

The activities encouraged students to recognise how simple actions such as a smile, kind word or caring gesture can contribute to a peaceful environment.

Directors Mr Himanshu Verma and Mrs Ritu Verma, along with Principal Mr Saji Jacob, appreciated the students and teachers for their presentations and efforts to promote a culture of peace, empathy and unity across the school community.
