BIC and national carrier Gulf Air continue long-standing partnership with Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), ‘The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East’, and national carrier Gulf Air are continuing their distinguished, long-standing partnership as part of the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia 2026.

The F1 spectacle will be taking place at the iconic Sepang International Circuit (SIC) from 2 to 4 October, and Gulf Air is once again the race’s title sponsor, reflecting the strength of its advanced relationship with BIC and F1. This collaboration dates back to the first-ever F1 grand prix held in the region on 4 April, 2004 (04/04/04).

For the race weekend in Malaysia, Gulf Air will be supporting the efforts of Team Bahrain to showcase The Kingdom to fans from across the world. As a major highlight of the F1 weekend at SIC, Gulf Air will be performing its famous fly-past during the pre-race programme on 4 October. The awesome spectacle will add to the excitement of the unique occasion for the benefit of thousands of fans at the venue and millions watching the broadcast from across the world.

Ahead of the race weekend, Gulf Air has announced the launch of direct flights between Bahrain and Kuala Lumpur starting 29 September, further strengthening the airline’s air connectivity with the Far East while offering F1 fans and travellers a seamless gateway to the Malaysian capital.

Furthermore, as the grand prix’s title sponsor, the Gulf Air Fan Zone at SIC will be open to all ticket holders throughout the weekend, bringing fans closer to the action of the race.
