Court Orders Security Firm to Refund Homeowner
Company failed to complete surveillance system installation

The Lower Civil Court has ordered a security systems company to refund BD941.9 to a homeowner after failing to complete the installation of a home surveillance and intercom system.
The court also awarded the plaintiff BD7 in translation expenses, BD200 in expert fees, legal costs and BD10 in lawyers' fees.
According to court records, the homeowner signed a contract in November 2024 for the supply and installation of surveillance cameras, an intercom system and other security equipment worth BD1,130.9. Despite full payment, the company did not complete the work.
A court-appointed expert found that only part of the installation had been carried out, with several key components missing or non-functional. The completed work was valued at just BD189.
Based on the findings, the court rescinded the contract and ordered the company to refund the remaining amount.
