Bahrain Condemns Repeated Iranian Attacks on Kuwait
The Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned the repeated Iranian attacks targeting civilian and vital facilities in the State of Kuwait, describing them as a serious violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, security and stability.
Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks pose a direct threat to the safety of civilians and residents and represent a grave breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, as well as a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
The Ministry praised the readiness and efficiency of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces after they intercepted and destroyed a number of hostile drones on Friday.
Bahrain reaffirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait and its support for all measures taken by the country to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability and territorial integrity.
The Kingdom also called for an immediate and comprehensive end to what it described as unjustified attacks by Iran and its proxies against countries across the region.
Bahrain stressed the need to stop threats to maritime navigation, saying that ending such attacks is essential to strengthening regional and international security and stability.
