Bahrain Reaffirms Solidarity with Kuwait Following Attack on Civilian Infrastructure

His Royal Highness Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today held a telephone call with His Highness Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait.

During the call, His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to His Highness Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, along with His Majesty’s wishes for continued progress, prosperity, security and stability for Kuwait and its people.

His Royal Highness strongly condemned the hostile attacks targeting civilian facilities and critical infrastructure in Kuwait, including Kuwait International Airport and diplomatic missions. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s unwavering solidarity with the State of Kuwait and its full support for all measures undertaken to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, as well as the safety of its citizens and residents.

His Royal Highness also extended his sincere condolences to the leadership, government and people of Kuwait, and to the family of the victim who lost their life as a result of the attacks. He further wished those injured a swift recovery.

The call also reviewed the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Bahrain and Kuwait and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation and coordination in support of shared interests. Regional and international developments, as well as issues of mutual concern, were also discussed.

For his part, His Highness the Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the telephone call, noting that it reflects the strength of Gulf solidarity and unity. His Highness emphasised the importance of further enhancing cooperation and coordination among Gulf Cooperation Council countries and wished the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people continued security, stability and prosperity.
