Bahraini diplomat Hajar Al-Amin has been awarded the “Young Diplomat of the Year 2026” title by Diplomat Magazine in London, recognising her notable contributions to diplomatic service.
Al-Amin, who serves as First Secretary at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the United Kingdom, received the honour during the publication’s 15th annual awards ceremony, which celebrates members of the diplomatic community based in London.
The award is regarded as one of the leading accolades for diplomats in the British capital, highlighting emerging talent and their impact on strengthening international relations. Recipients are nominated by peers across 10 different categories.
Following the ceremony, Al-Amin said the recognition reflects the increasing role of young Bahraini diplomats and the Kingdom’s balanced approach to foreign policy.
She also acknowledged Bahrain’s leadership for its continued support of youth empowerment, and expressed appreciation to the Kingdom’s ambassador to the UK for his guidance and encouragement.
