BDF Intercepts 129 Missiles and 215 Drones Targeting Bahrain

The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) announced that its air defence systems continue to confront successive waves of hostile attacks, with the unwavering vigilance of its personnel.

Since the start of what it described as a blatant aggression, air defence units have intercepted and destroyed 129 missiles and 215 drones that targeted the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The General Command expressed pride in the advanced combat readiness and high level of operational alert demonstrated by its personnel. It emphasized that the continued performance of its forces reflects strong professionalism and efficiency in safeguarding the Kingdom, noting that such efforts provide reassurance and confidence that Bahrain’s airspace remains protected, with God’s help.

The BDF also called on citizens and residents to exercise the highest levels of caution to ensure their safety. It urged everyone to avoid affected areas and any suspicious objects, refrain from photographing military operations or locations where debris has fallen, avoid spreading rumours, and rely solely on official sources for information and updates. The Command further encouraged the public to follow official and government media outlets for accurate guidance, alerts, and announcements.

In its statement, the General Command said the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian facilities and private property constitutes a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter. It added that such indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
