The Malayalam Mission Bahrain Chapter marked Kerala Piravi Day (the formation day of Kerala) by organizing its ‘Language Day Festival’ at the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS) Diamond Jubilee Hall.
The celebration, which saw participation from various cultural organizations, was officially inaugurated by BKS General Secretary Varghese Karakkal.
Chapter President P.V. Radhakrishna Pillai and others offered felicitations. The event began with a language pledge, followed by cultural performances presented by children from the nine schools operating under the Mission.
The Bahrain Chapter, which pioneered the Mission’s overseas operations in 2011, currently supports 2,500 students across 11 study centers, where they learn the Malayalam language through the dedicated, free service of over 150 teachers.
