Protecting Innocence: Officers Trained to Shield Students
Training tackles exploitation | Focus on bullying prevention | Knowledge shared with schools
As the 2025-2026 school year begins, Bahrain has placed children’s safety firmly on the national agenda.
The Public Prosecution, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies, has concluded a training program for Ma’an Police personnel aimed at strengthening protection for children both inside and outside classrooms.
Strategic Initiative
The program focused on combating blackmail, tackling sexual exploitation of children, and addressing school bullying. Training also emphasized equipping teachers and parents to respond to psychological and behavioral issues, alongside social and psychological counseling methods targeting children and their families.
Building Capacity
Specialist lectures were delivered by Public Prosecution members and social researchers, enabling officers to apply new knowledge in schools and communities. By reinforcing these capacities at multiple levels, the initiative seeks to create a safe learning environment and preserve the social fabric.
Culture of Prevention
Officials described the training as part of ongoing efforts to enhance professional performance in handling childhood-related cases. The program represents a strategic step toward building an integrated system focused on prevention, early response, and instilling a culture of protective awareness across different segments of society.
The Public Prosecution stressed that this kind of training is essential for ensuring Bahrain’s institutions work together to protect children and build resilience within the community.
