Cargo Ship Hit by Projectile in Strait of Hormuz, Fire Breaks Out

A cargo vessel was struck by an unknown projectile while sailing through the Strait of Hormuz, causing a fire on board and forcing the crew to evacuate, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
The incident was reported on Wednesday, with the UK maritime agency stating that the ship was hit by an unidentified object while passing through the vital shipping route. The impact triggered a fire onboard the vessel.
Following the strike, the crew began evacuating the ship and issued a request for assistance. Authorities are monitoring the situation as response efforts continue.
